Description
Syzygium anisatum (Anise Myrtle) grows in sub-tropical rainforest fringes and is found naturally in only two valleys in north-eastern New South Wales, Australia. Exceptionally rich in trans-anethole (typically 80+%) our oil has a superior anise aroma to other traditional sources used in the flavor and fragrance industries. Additionally, it is regarded as an antiseptic, bactericide, carminative, dermatitogenic, expectorant, fungicide, gastrostimulant and insecticide. Anecdotally trans-anethole settles intestinal cramps, colic and flatulence.
